Yezidis Actively Participated Alongside Their Armenian Brothers; Bakoyan Publishes Names of Fallen Yezidis

Rustam Bakoyan, a Yezidi MP from the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly, made a statement regarding the participation and casualties of the Yezidi community during the 44-day war. 'It has been a year since the outbreak of the 44-day war against Artsakh. On September 27, 2020, Yezidis in Armenia also took active part alongside their Armenian brothers. No effort was spared in defense of our sacred land and the security of our united homeland. Two Yezidi units participated in the military operations, heroically fighting for the defense of their homeland and its holy ground. Yezidi conscripts and volunteers were martyred, whose names will forever remain in our hearts.

The fallen heroes are: Otgar Kyalashi Amaryan, Mraz Yuriki Kaloyan, Alik Mahari Khudoyan, Shavo Yerkhanyki Samsonyan, Temur Aruturi Kotoyan, Mamikon Sosiki Kasoyan, Edgar Mameyi Muradyan, Samad Mamadi Sloyan, Manvel Tamoyi Tamoyan, Davit Gerakli Aidoev, Omar Sharoyi Mamoyan, Zhorab Tamoyi Ozmanyan, Borik Titali Suleymanian, Norayr Dhari Mstoyan, Emil Artushi Tamoyan, and Hovhannes Bakoyan.
