Mikaelyan: We May Stand on the Brink of War Again

The president of the Union of Volunteers, Sasun Mikaelyan, insists that Armenia has not learned lessons from its history.

“We must unite today, we must stand by our army. The Union of Volunteers has always been alongside the army and remains so to this day,” Mikaelyan stated at the Union of Volunteers.

According to him, Armenia may have lost on the battlefield but has not lost the war. “We need to fill ourselves with that mentality and move forward, and this uncertainty, dear state officials, must be removed from our people,” Mikaelyan emphasized. “I clearly say—we may stand on the brink of war again, there may be an encroachment on the state border of the Republic of Armenia,” he noted.

He mentioned that today’s urgent challenge is to maintain the state border and support the army. “Look each other in the eyes, put aside your ambitions, and let’s move forward,” the president of the Union of Volunteers said.

Sasun Mikaelyan added that he is a resolute person, but when he reads “we will win,” his heart fills with hope. “We will win, dear people,” he said.
