Azerbaijanis Bringing Winter Supplies by Car: What the Leader of Verin Shorja Says
The Azerbaijani troops stationed near the village of Verin Shorja in the Gegharkunik region have raised the Azerbaijani flag at their position. This was reported to "Factinfo" by the administrative head of Verin Shorja community, Artyom Yeranosyan.
Yeranosyan indicated that everything began two days ago when Armenian soldiers raised the Armenian tricolor at their post. Two hours later, the Azerbaijanis raised their flag in Gegharkunik territory.
He noted that since the Azerbaijani armed forces were deployed at the border of Verin Shorja, the Azerbaijani flag had not been hoisted until September 25. "We didn’t have a flag up. Our guys put up the tricolor, and two hours later, the Azerbaijanis put up their flag. They also previously did not have one. They were just stationed at their position, and they brought the flag to the front and hung it there. Now they sit in the tent with the flag in front of them," Yeranosyan said.
He mentioned that besides the tent, the Azerbaijanis have also constructed a stone building and have been carrying out engineering work for a long time. "They have built a stone structure. They have everything—tents, cabins, and are well-prepared for winter. For the past few days, they have been constantly bringing supplies. We see that they are bringing winter supplies by car," Yeranosyan added.
The administrative head reported that the autumn planting is taking place in the village, and farmers have carried out most of their work without obstruction. "For instance, I was supposed to plant 200 hectares, and I have planted 100 hectares," said the community leader.
It is recalled that on May 12, Azerbaijan violated the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and advanced several kilometers into the regions of Syunik and Gegharkunik, and has not retreated since.
