Firefighting Operations Resume at Arevik National Park
Firefighting operations in the Arevik National Park have resumed on September 26, with smoldering hotspots identified in the area. An operational group from the regional rescue administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has headed to the site. Also participating in the firefighting efforts are 10 employees from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminds us: “On September 22, at 06:15, firefighting operations resumed in the area of Arevik National Park, involving 125 rescuers, 70 servicemen, and 12 employees from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex. The director of the rescue service, Colonel Armen Gasparyan, was present at the scene.”
Due to darkness, firefighting activities were temporarily halted, and watch duty has been established by rescuers.
On September 23, firefighting operations resumed in the area of Arevik National Park, with the involvement of 70 rescuers and 20 employees from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex. The operations were led by Deputy Director of the Rescue Service, Colonel Tigran Petrosyan. Firefighting efforts were again temporarily paused.
On September 24, firefighting operations in the Arevik National Park resumed with smoldering hotspots still present. 70 rescuers and 20 employees from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex participated again, with Colonel Tigran Petrosyan at the scene. Operations were once more temporarily halted due to darkness, and watch duty was imposed by staff from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex.
On September 25, firefighting operations continued in the Arevik National Park, with 70 rescuers and 20 staff members from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex involved. Colonel Tigran Petrosyan was present at the site, where operations were again temporarily paused and watch duty established.
