US State Department to Investigate if 'Grey Wolves' are a Terrorist Organization

Democratic Representative Dina Titus from Nevada has introduced an article in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which states that the U.S. State Department must examine the following question: "Do the ideology-based clubs (the Turkish organization 'Grey Wolves,' known as Ülkü Ocakları in Turkish) meet the criteria of being a foreign terrorist organization?" According to Ermenihaber.am, the article has already been approved by the House Rules Committee and requires that after the project's legalization, the State Department prepares a report on the matter within 180 days and presents it to Congress.

The article will take effect if the budget proposal is approved in the Senate and signed by the President of the United States.
