Applications for Income Tax Refunds to Be Submitted Only Electronically, Says State Revenue Committee

The process for refunding income tax on mortgage servicing payments will be simplified and digitized by government decision. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.

An electronic platform for the refund of amounts paid for mortgage servicing interest is expected to be created. Applications for income tax refunds will be submitted exclusively through electronic means, and beneficiaries will only need to provide the necessary documents to the tax authority the first time. This will significantly reduce the timeframes for income tax refunds; the funds will be returned within a maximum of 3 working days after the applications are submitted.
