When Will Pfizer Arrive in Armenia? Minister Responds

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, did not specify a specific timeline for when the Pfizer vaccine will be available in Armenia. During a conversation with journalists, the minister stated that there are constant delays in the timelines for vaccine supplies, and therefore she cannot provide a specific date.

In response to the question of whether there have been discussions in the ministry to make testing free, Anahit Avanesyan remarked that we must be guided by how public resources should be utilized. She stated, 'If we still have many important health issues that citizens have incomplete coverage of state benefits, then what is the point of the government directing its financial resources towards the constant desire for testing? The state, taking on the full financial burden of vaccination, considers it unnecessary to continuously conduct testing.'
