We Will Use Every Opportunity to Expel the Current Authorities from the Country: Vahe Hakobyan

We will not refuse anything; we will use every opportunity, including the parliamentary podium and the streets, to expel the current authorities not only from politics but also from the country. This was stated by Vahe Hakobyan, a member of the Armenia parliamentary faction, in an interview with journalists on September 24.

“We will work consistently until people understand the threats they are facing,” he added.

The deputy expressed hope that the current mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, would be re-elected. “Since he is currently in detention, this campaigning will be conducted by his father, his supporters, and all of us. In the local self-government elections, Arush Arushanyan's list will also include his deputy Menua Hovsepyan and Irina Yolyan,” Hakobyan said.

According to him, the authorities' intention to hastily adopt a bill on administrative territorial division is related to their desire to ensure the presence of “their people” everywhere. “Have the authorities asked the opinion of the leaders of small villages? It is necessary to halt this process and conduct an extensive discussion,” the deputy concluded.
