The Flag of Artsakh Again Flies Over the Amaras Monastery, Says Metakse Hakobyan

The flag of the Republic of Artsakh is once again flying over the Amaras Monastery since yesterday, said Metakse Hakobyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly's "Justice" faction, in an interview with Aysor.am.

“To be honest, I do not know who put the flag up again, but what is important is that what I said has been fulfilled. The Russian peacekeepers had not issued a command to lower the flag; they merely suggested it. However, the mayor of the Machkalashen community interpreted this as an order and carried it out out of fear,” the deputy stated.

It is worth noting that a few days ago, Azerbaijanis had reached the vicinity of the Amaras Monastery using GPS and placed their flags there. The Russian peacekeepers had firmly sent them back to their initial positions.
