Employees Must Prove They Are Not Contagious Starting October 1, Says Minister
Starting October 1, all employers, including government agencies, must adhere to the established anti-epidemic restrictions, Armenia's Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan announced during a government meeting.
“From October 1, employees must either present a negative PCR test result or a doctor's letter confirming medical exemption when reporting to work, with vaccinated individuals and pregnant women being the exception. This is a general rule,” Avanesyan stated.
She emphasized that these restrictions act as a crucial filter in a series of comprehensive anti-epidemic measures. “They are intended to ensure that employees do not infect their colleagues or the citizens they serve. We have similar rules for entering our country, requiring a negative PCR test unless the person is vaccinated,” Avanesyan explained.
Regarding citizens who have received their first vaccine dose, the minister elaborated: “Before obtaining the second dose, individuals do not need to present a PCR test result.” After the timeframe expires, individuals must secure their second vaccine dose.
