Tragic Car Accident in Vayots Dzor: 38-Year-Old Man Falls 200 Meters in Hyundai Galloper

On September 23, a tragic car accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 5:00 PM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ 911 crisis management center received a report that a Hyundai Galloper had fallen approximately 200 meters into a ravine on the road leading from the well-known Jermuk intersection towards Jermuk, at the 2nd km mark of the Yerevan-Meghri highway. There are suspicions that there may be one or more victims.

Rescuers and police, together with doctors from Vayk Hospital and local citizens, worked with great difficulty to retrieve the body of the man from the ravine and bring it close to the ambulance. The police and investigative department are currently identifying the deceased.
