No Russian Soldiers Should Be Sent to Any Country, Says Zhirinovsky on Aid to Armenia

The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, has called for an end to providing comprehensive support to foreign countries. According to the parliamentarian, the right step would be to assist the country's own citizens, as reported by infoteka24.ru.

“Our country has helped the whole world for 70 years. We have given all our riches to foreign parties and other countries. And this is what I have been fighting against. Belarus is the last country we have taken on,” Zhirinovsky noted.

Zhirinovsky believes that assistance to allies should be expressed through a policy of “watchful benevolence” rather than humanitarian aid. “We are currently helping Armenia against Azerbaijan. Planes are ready to assist starving Afghanistan. And we will consistently declare, ‘not a gram of food to any country. Not a penny to any country. No soldiers of ours should be sent to any country. We need to help our citizens; that would be the right step,” he concluded.
