Emergency Incident in Yerevan: Isuzu Truck Collides with Gas Pipeline and Topples Support Column

Today, September 22, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:30 AM, Yerevan resident Hambardzum Stepanyan collided with gas pipelines while driving his Isuzu truck at 5 Gogol Street.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, there appear to be no injuries, fortunately. However, several sections of the gas pipelines were damaged, and the iron support column of the gas pipeline was toppled.

Emergency responders from the "Gazprom Armenia" gas emergency service arrived promptly at the scene to halt the gas leak and carried out several hours of work to address the emergency.

A firefighting unit from the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also promptly arrived at the scene, but firefighters did not take any action, as the employees of Yerevan’s gas service had already done everything necessary.
