Police Conducts Operation '9 as a Tusker...'
On September 20, under the command of Khachik Samvelyan, the head of the Yerevan battalion of the Police Patrol Service, a special operation titled '9 as a Tusker...' was carried out. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, information was received at the Police Patrol Service indicating that the driver of a KIA vehicle with the license plate 999 99 99 was driving around the capital, particularly during nighttime hours, occasionally violating traffic rules maliciously.
Today, Albert Hovhannisyan, the deputy commander of the 3rd platoon of the Yerevan battalion of the Patrol Service, spotted the lawbreaker at the intersection of Abovyan and Pushkin streets. Moments later, the KIA was moved to a specially designated area of the Yerevan battalion of the Patrol Service, known as the former 'hole garage.'
According to the photojournalist’s information, it was confirmed that the information received by the Patrol Service was accurate—the license plates were fake, and the vehicle was supposed to have the plates 99 MR 969, while it was registered under the name of 22-year-old Robert Iskandaryan, a resident of the Kanaker-Zeitun administrative district in Yerevan.
