Unblocking Could Increase Armenia's GDP by 30% Within Two Years - Kerebyan
The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerebyan, announced today during the Armenian-Russian business forum in Yerevan that unblocking communications with Azerbaijan and Turkey could help increase Armenia's GDP by 30% within two years.
According to the minister, this assessment is not only from the Armenian side but also based on analyses from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
“We all understand that the blockade of roads will enhance the competitiveness of our joint economic development projects. Russian companies and organizations involved in bilateral negotiations are taking this into account,” said Kerebyan.
The minister emphasized that Yerevan's goal is to bring these negotiations to a reasonable conclusion while fully considering the interests of the Armenian side.
