Kabul Airport Resumes Operations
The airport in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, officially resumed operations for domestic and international flights on Monday. According to TASS, this was announced in a statement posted on the Twitter page of the 'Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan' (Taliban movement).
The Afghan Civil Aviation Administration has decided that the airport will operate from 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
Air transportation for civilian flights had been suspended since August 15, when the Taliban entered the capital. It is worth noting that following this, President Ashraf Ghani fled the country, leaving power in the hands of the Taliban.
Since the end of August, experts from Qatar and Turkey have been helping to resolve technical issues related to the airport's operations.
