Collision Involving Police Officer's Volkswagen and 83-Year-Old Driver's VAZ

On September 17, a car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn Province. Around 12:30 PM, near the well-known 'Gai Post' on the 24th kilometer of the Yerevan-Ashtarak highway, a collision took place between a Volkswagen driven by 23-year-old Aghasi Sargsyan, a resident of Aragatsotn Province, and a VAZ 2107 driven by 83-year-old Vachik Shahbazyan, a resident of Lori Province.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two passengers of V. Shahbazyan, 59-year-old K. Sh. from Lori Province and 59-year-old S. Sh. from Aragatsotn Province, were taken to 'Ashtarak' Medical Center with bodily injuries.

Prior to the arrival of emergency services, assistance was provided to the drivers and the injured by the staff of the nearby 'Bardiner' restaurant complex.

According to sources, driver A. Sargsyan is serving in the police forces.
