Will Araik Harutyunyan Attend the Colorful Event and Has He Received an Invitation? Spokesperson Clarifies

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a government meeting on September 8 that a "large-scale and colorful celebration" will take place in Republic Square on September 21 to mark the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence. "This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia's independence, and due to known circumstances, we cannot consider our mood as celebratory, but we have decided that the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia's independence should be marked appropriately. And I want to say that on September 21, there will be a large-scale and colorful celebration in Yerevan's Republic Square, which will be dedicated, of course, primarily to our independence, sovereignty, security, and to the memory of our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for Artsakh," said Nikol Pashinyan.

168.am inquired with Luisa Avanesyan, the spokesperson for the President of Artsakh, whether the President of Artsakh had received an invitation to participate in the September 21 events in Yerevan. Luisa Avanesyan did not comment on this question, stating, "I will leave the issue of receiving or not receiving an invitation without a comment." When asked if Araik Harutyunyan would be in Yerevan on September 21, Luisa Avanesyan responded, "The president will not attend any festive event." In response to a clarifying question about whether he would come to Yerevan on that day, Luisa Avanesyan reiterated, "The president will not attend any festive event."
