We Will Not Halt Life Just to Deal with This Road: Minister on Azerbaijani Checkpoint

“We are very concerned about the current situation and believe that the status of this road causes significant damage to the economy, trade, and tourism,” said Vahan Kerobyan, the Minister of Economy, after the government meeting on September 16, addressing the inspections and taxations of Iranian trucks at the Azerbaijani checkpoint on the Goris-Kapan road section.

Kerobyan stated that there will be such issues until normalcy is restored after the war, and that problems must be addressed calmly. “Armenia is trying to avoid escalation in its actions, even though Azerbaijan continuously creates new issues. If you think that we should stop life, do nothing else, only focus on this one road, not breathe, sleep, or wake up, I say that these issues need to be resolved, but there are many other issues that also need to be addressed. It is not correct to say that we should address one problem and forget the rest,” he stated.
