Large-scale Exercises Involving Special Operations Units of the Armed Forces

The exercises of the Armed Forces' special operations units continue along the entire eastern and southeastern borders of Armenia with specially developed operations, as reported by the Ministry of Defense.

After clarifying the course and sequence of combat tasks and the interaction order, the servicemen of the special operations units proceeded to carry out their assigned training combat tasks. Special tactical drills were organized under conditions as close to real combat situations as possible.

Actions have been conducted for ambushing, assaulting, detecting and destroying significant objects of a conditional enemy, occupying advantageous positions, and other operations foreseen by the exercise plan.

In another direction, the personnel overcame difficult terrain and attacked a strategically significant object under special protection by the enemy, destroying personnel, seizing documents and weapons, and returning safely.

The progress of the ongoing exercises has been assessed as good by the higher command; the actions of the units are harmonious and swift, with high combat spirit.
