A Border Inhabitant Forced to Abandon Work, Blocked a Road: Hakob Avetyan
Our village is a border village; the residents not only protect the border but also live alongside it, and ignoring their opinions is immoral and disrespectful to the people. This was stated by the head of the Geghamasar community, Hakob Avetyan, during a conversation with journalists while keeping the Sotk-Vardenis road blocked.
It is noteworthy that the residents of Geghamasar, who are organizing a protest against community consolidation, have just opened the road to avoid disrupting the rotation of military personnel.
“A person living on the border has been forced to leave his work to block a road so that he is recognized as a human being; this is a very poor attitude from the authorities towards our people. Gnel Sanosyan personally told me that he would disperse your community and that I would be judged. This is connected to my political views; anyone who doesn't align with them is seen as an enemy,” Avetyan said.
