Putin Announces His Self-Isolation

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has entered self-isolation due to the presence of COVID-19 cases among his close contacts. This was reported on the official Kremlin website, without disclosing the names of those infected.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has assured that Putin is healthy and has tested negative for the virus; however, he will not participate in public events for the time being.

It is already confirmed that Putin will not be attending and will participate remotely in the CSTO and Shanghai Cooperation Organization summits scheduled for September 15 in Dushanbe.
