A Closed Meeting Will Be Held to Discuss the Situation on the Goris-Kapan Highway

The government has agreed to the proposal of the "Armenia" alliance to convene a closed session in the National Assembly to discuss the situation on the Goris-Kapan highway. The key issue is the presence of the director of the NSS, which is a primary demand of the opposition.

Opposition members have been informed that he has no issues coming to the National Assembly, but his working schedule needs to be adjusted. It is possible that the closed session could take place today. For several days now, Azerbaijanis have set up a police checkpoint in the Vorotan area and are charging Iranian drivers.

The NSS of Armenia clarified that this area belongs to the Azerbaijani Aivazli region. It is worth noting that weeks ago, during a closed session initiated by the coalition, the deputy chief of the General Staff attended but was not adequately informed about the situation.
