The Hospitality Program for Artsakh Residents Has Been Suspended Indefinitely
The newspaper 'Zhoghavor' reports that on September 9, during a discussion initiated by the Chair of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan, the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanian, announced that the hospitality program for Artsakh residents has ceased to operate.
Following the announcement, 'Zhoghavor' further investigated and found out that the program officially ended in August, and there has yet to be any official statement regarding its potential resumption. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia is not commenting on the reasons for the program's suspension.
It is important to note that citizens hosting Artsakh residents received 30,000 AMD for each adult hosted in Armenia, and 45 AMD for those in Artsakh, on the basis of their property rights. To register, citizens had to apply between the 25th of each month and the 5th of the following month.
From the Ministry's hotline, 'Zhoghavor' was informed that the registration period for August has already ended, and the program has been suspended and is not active, with no official information available about its continuation.
