NSS Refers to Goris-Kapan Route by Azerbaijani Name, as It's Traditionally Known: MP from Civil Contract
“We are in a reality where we must be cautious about actions that could harm the Republic of Artsakh. If the official delegation visiting Artsakh has been presented this way, then it’s seen as necessary,” said Rustam Bakoyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, in an interview with 24News, referring to the high-ranking leadership of Armenia not visiting Artsakh on the day of its Independence.
In response to the question about why the NSS used the Azerbaijani name in its statement regarding the police checkpoint established by Azerbaijanis on the Goris-Kapan road, Bakoyan noted, “The NSS referred to the section of the Goris-Kapan road by its Azerbaijani name, because this area has always been known by that name.”
