What Was the Reason That Kosobokov Personally Came to Armenia, While He Was Presented in Baku by Muradov: Political Commentary
Political commentator Hakob Badalyan has made a statement on Facebook regarding the visit of Kosobokov and Muradov to Azerbaijan.
“There is information that Muradov presented the new commander of the Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, Kosobokov, in Baku. It turns out that Kosobokov personally presented himself to the Armenian side, having met with Armenia's Minister of Defense a few days ago, while in Baku, he was presented by Muradov. The fact that it was significant for him to present himself first to the Armenian side, I noted a few days ago in my article. It turns out that Kosobokov does not even appear personally to the Azerbaijani side; he is introduced by Muradov. It is known that Kosobokov's candidacy caused dissatisfaction in Baku, both because he came to Yerevan first and because his biography contains a 'separatist' message. As it is known, Kosobokov was the commander of the Russian military base in Abkhazia. Against this backdrop, it is interesting whether Baku rejected Kosobokov and therefore introduced him through Muradov, perhaps also trying to ease Baku's dissatisfaction, or whether the Russian side decided to respond that way to the ‘dissatisfaction’ expressed by Baku, which has existed for some time and certainly has deeper underlying reasons.”
