That person is deliberately inciting internal clashes to divert attention for his dirty dealings, says Ghukasyan to Pashinyan

The authorities have not backed down from their decision to organize a colorful event. Arsen Ghukasyan, a relative of a fallen soldier, informed "Factinfo" in an interview that the parents of soldiers who lost their lives on September 21 will take to the streets to participate in the "colorful event" dedicated to the memory of the victims.

"As the relatives of the fallen, we are obliged to be present at this 'colorful event'. The rest will show us how it unfolds. Let's live and see. They will do their thing, and we will do ours. If they don't hold it, we will calmly go, honor our dead soldiers' memory, but not with a colorful event, rather with a candlelight vigil or, for example, a march," Ghukasyan said.

Previously, Ghukasyan had a chance encounter with the MP from the ruling party, Andranik Kocharyan, where he reiterated that there should not be a colorful event. The MP insisted that there would be no colorful concert and that a symphonic orchestra would come to the square.

"It is Pashinyan's words that refer to a ‘colorful event’. Colorful is the flag of homosexuals. What other way could it be described? If he intended to organize a concert in memory of the victims, he could have said, ‘Memorial, concert, or evening in memory of the fallen,’ but not a celebration. I warned him to tell that person to cancel it, otherwise, I will turn the stage upside down on your heads. No police can stand before the mothers who will enter the square with their children’s photos; let them try," Ghukasyan stated.

He indicated that they are ready to take any action at the first sign of the 'colorful event'. "Let them detain us; later, don't say we are guilty, while they're innocent. Don’t hold us responsible for something we have warned you about beforehand: don’t do this," added the relative of the fallen hero.

Ghukasyan expressed that it seems to them that an intentionally unstable situation is being provoked in the city. "That person is deliberately inciting internal clashes to divert the people's attention, so he can carry out his dirty deeds, which he has been doing for a long time and continues with his vile actions. He needs this to achieve his goals. I define it this way because there are various bits of information from different sources, which, while not entirely reliable, relate to what is expected in reality. Serious topics are anticipated along the frontline in Syunik, Tavush, and Yeraskh," Ghukasyan remarked.

According to him, he had been in Tavush days ago at one of the military units. He was transferring necessary supplies to the frontline when he learned that the unit commander had been replaced. "This is about a person who is sworn in with their sun. He is a fighting, brave man who does not shy away from anything and will fight to his last breath. Why are they changing his position during this tough time? It raises suspicions because this same process was followed towards Artsakh. He wants to execute a similar scenario," Ghukasyan noted.

Ghukasyan informed that there are vulnerable points in Tavush. To avoid dangers, he transferred important supplies to the border. These were purchased with funds provided by benefactors and were officially recorded as property of the military unit. He assured that he will be vigilant to ensure they remain available to the soldiers. He plans to release the list of supplies soon.

He visited the border villages of Chinari and Aygedzor. He did not encounter Russian border guards in the area but noted other peculiarities. Specifically, he confirms that the soldiers of the "Mehrabi" military unit are no longer serving in Syunik. The nearby positions are now monitored by the contract personnel of the internal troops. According to him, there are two oddities here. Firstly, large sums of money were spent for a double transfer.

It would have been possible to send troops directly from Yerevan to Syunik. "The soldiers of the Mehrabi unit are more familiar with the terrain of Tavush. Today, the interior troops' policemen are guarding the positions in Chinari. Ghukasyan says this is the same handwriting as the 44-day war; there is intent to confuse the soldiers in undesirable situations. This is for the reason that people do not know the area. At the first sign of trouble, these people will be bewildered, just as our soldiers were once confused and told to position themselves without knowing where they were going. You could have told them where the Turkish positions were and for them to become familiar with the area. Those soldiers ended up trapped and did not know where Stepanakert was, where Baku was. They were totally confused and fell into a meat grinder," he elaborated.

Ghukasyan indicated that he may soon address the public via video message for what might be the last time, continuing to fight against these issues with all available methods. "Recently, I have tried in every way—by pleading and begging the nation to understand that it is a sin, that their children are not guilty. I said, the mourning has entered my home; do not let it into yours. After all this, they still insult me. I am trying again, saying they are blind, and I need to try again to awaken people and open their eyes, but everything has its limits. I will continue my work until the end, fighting against this with all possible methods," concluded Arsen Ghukasyan.
