In Armenia, Not Only Armenian 'Gold' Plates Are Being Stolen, But Also Russian License Plates

According to 'Zhoghovurd,' in our republic, one wakes up in the morning to find their car without license plates. Cases of license plate theft continue in Armenia. This time, not only Armenian 'gold' plates are being stolen, but also Russian license plates. Drivers of vehicles with Russian plates are considered 'privileged' in our republic. They are not subject to fines for violations recorded by cameras and speed traps.

In the case of Russian license plate theft, the driver cannot replace it with another Russian plate or obtain the same one again, as it is a laborious and costly process. Therefore, drivers of cars with Russian plates remove them from their vehicles and take them home in the evening. Additionally, there is another issue related to license plates but occurring in Russia. It turns out that our compatriots driving vehicles with foreign plates, upon committing several violations, are included in a 'blacklist' by the authorities of that country. As is known, most of our compatriots go to Russia for work as drivers.

'Zhoghovurd' learned that many of them have already found their solution to the problem. They come to Armenia, change the license plates and then return to Russia again.
