Illegal Seizure of Philanthropist Levon Hayrapetyan's Property: An Open Letter from His Daughter to Artsakh Authorities
Levon Hayrapetyan's daughter has sent an open letter to the authorities of Artsakh, as reported by Artsakhpress.
In the letter, she states:
“Dear Mr. President,
I wish to address you through this open letter, requesting your support in recognizing my father's, the great philanthropist Levon Gurgen Hayrapetyan's, ownership rights over his property and to put an end to the illegal use of it by a group of individuals.
As you know, my father purchased around a dozen vehicles and construction equipment some time ago and temporarily entrusted them to the village municipality of Vank in the Martakert region. In 2020, when I sought to handle the fate of our property as my father's legal heir, I found that the aforementioned equipment handed over to the Vank community had been illegally seized and was being used for personal needs by Edgar Harutyunyan, the former head of the Martakert administration, and the current head of the community, Andrey Sargsyan. Moreover, they refused to return the property belonging to our family, trying to make baseless excuses.
Days before the war unleashed on Artsakh by Azerbaijan, you graciously accepted to meet with me, and I presented our family's complaint-request. However, the impending war changed our moods, but I am certain it did not change our goals. As the daughter of a worthy son of Artsakh, I believe that now more than ever, I must stand by my father's dreams and continue his unfinished work. Therefore, I kindly ask you to help us restore our rights to our own property and to exert all efforts for the revitalization of our beloved homeland, Artsakh.
Respectfully,
Zaruhi Levoni Hayrapetyan”
