Arman Abovyan Sounds the Alarm: 'Such Road Signs on Armenian Roads'
Former MP Arman Abovyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Pahooo... These are the road signs adorning Armenian roads. You might say there is no need to make a scandal out of such trifles; nevertheless, learned through bitter experience, we know that everything starts with such little details, overlooked words, and the authorities' highly dubious intentions.
In general, why is there a need to indicate the distance to the enemy's cities? Well, if they decided to do this anyway, then why use Azerbaijani names instead of Armenian ones? For example, instead of Baku, it should read Bakurakert, and instead of some incomprehensible ‘Ganja,’ it should use the ancient Armenian name Ganjak.
But wait a minute... This sign indicates that the road leading to the enemy is marked with a dead-end sign! The authorities definitely didn’t deceive themselves in this regard (I think they didn’t even realize how accurately they guessed). Any road leading towards Azerbaijan or Turkey is a DEAD END.”
