Muradov on the Work of Peacekeepers in Artsakh

The former commander of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, stated in an interview with TASS that Russian peacekeepers will be present in the region for five years, in accordance with the trilateral statement made after the 44-day war. He noted that a decision regarding the extension of the peacekeepers' mandate will be made thereafter.

“The assessment comes from the peaceful population. Today, life in Nagorno-Karabakh is progressing as usual. There are, of course, many complex issues, but the process continues—people are returning, and resolutions to several problematic questions are being sought. For this reason, I believe everything will be fine,” he said.
