Washington and Brussels Encourage Ukraine's Diversions Against Crimea: Zakharova
Washington and Brussels are fully aware of all diversions by Ukraine against Crimea, and the West's silence only contributes to the anti-Russian activity of Kyiv's authorities. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The diplomat drew attention to the diversion that occurred on August 23 in the vicinity of the gas pipeline in the Perevalnoye settlement of Crimea, which, according to the Russian Federal Security Service, was organized by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
“The diversions being developed and directed at Crimea from Ukrainian territory have not only become a reality but a new norm of Western policy regarding Ukraine—to ignore the facts and support the Kyiv regime in any anti-Russian activity. Are the western capitals aware of the details of these monstrous incidents? Yes. They are aware. Washington and Brussels all know and remain silent, thus at least supporting, if not participating in it,” Zakharova noted on her Telegram channel.
