VIDEO: Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia Discuss Communication Reopening – What Does Pashinyan Detail?

At the outset of the government meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the issue of reopening regional communications. Pashinyan informed that this matter is being discussed in a trilateral format involving Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan.

“Since being reappointed as Prime Minister, I have visited Iran, and today I am heading to Georgia. The development of regional communications plays a significant role in our discussions with both Iran and Georgia. In this context, I emphasize the North-South project, which connects our border with Iran to our border with Georgia. Establishing a railway connection with Russia and Iran is also extremely important for us. To resolve this issue, we are discussing the reopening of communications in the Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan trilateral format. Here, we are determined to make efforts to achieve concrete results, understanding, of course, that Azerbaijan also expects to establish communication between its western regions and Nakhchivan,” Pashinyan stated.

Pashinyan stressed that Armenia is committed to restoring the peace process with Azerbaijan within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.
