Poll in Turkey: Will Erdogan Win if Presidential Elections Were Held Now?
The Turkish sociological organization "Yöneylem" has conducted a poll to determine the public approval rating of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to Ermenihaber, when asked if they would vote for Erdoğan if he were to run in the upcoming presidential elections, 56.9% of respondents answered negatively, while 32.6% responded positively, and 8% stated, "I might vote for him; I might not."
The sociological organization also inquired which party Turkish citizens would vote for if elections were held now. 35.8% of respondents indicated they would vote for the ruling "Justice and Development" (AKP) party, while 21.9% stated they would support the main opposition, the "Republican People's Party" (CHP). Additionally, 11.6% would vote for the opposition nationalist "İYİ" (Good) party, 8.5% for the pro-Kurdish "People's Democratic Party," 6.1% for the nationalist "Nationalist Movement Party" (MHP), 0.8% for the "Saadet" party, 1.2% for the opposition "Democracy and Progress" (DEVA) party founded by former Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, and 0.5% for the "Future Party" founded by former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.
