Jeep Cherokee Involved in Accident on Amberd Fortress Road
On September 6, a major traffic accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 14:00, 33-year-old Sipan Grigoryan, a resident of Yerevan, flipped his Jeep Cherokee vehicle on the 7th km stretch of the road leading from the village of Byurakan to the "Stone Lake" under yet-to-be-determined circumstances.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, a passenger, 30-year-old Gor Poghosyan, also a resident of Yerevan, was transported to the "Ashtarak" medical center with bodily injuries.
Emergency services from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene, specifically the number 20 fire-rescue unit of the Ararat regional rescue department, with one combat crew. Firefighters disconnected the vehicle from power, closed the gas cylinder valve, and secured the area.
