Azerbaijan's Goal is for Armenia to be Excluded from Nagorno-Karabakh Issues: MP
Member of the RA National Assembly from the "Honorary Title" faction, Tigran Abrahamyan writes:
“The Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, has announced that Azerbaijan and Russia are discussing additional legal mechanisms related to the mandate of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. I would like to remind that the question of the mandate of the Russian peacekeeping mission is regulated by the well-known trilateral declaration of November 9, 2020, in the Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan format.
If such a process indeed exists between Russia and Azerbaijan, it means that there is an attempt to gradually exclude Armenia from the processes related to Nagorno-Karabakh. In simple terms, even the disgraceful document of November 9 stipulated that issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh would be resolved in a trilateral format, concerning the establishment of a ceasefire and the subsequent actions stemming from it. However, Azerbaijan's goal is to ensure that Armenia is sidelined from decisions regarding Nagorno-Karabakh, allowing the continuation of discussions solely in a bilateral format between Russia and Azerbaijan.”
