Activity of Bakery and Culinary Products Plant Suspended in Vayots Dzor

The activities of a bakery and culinary products plant belonging to individual entrepreneur Karen Hakobyan, located along the Vayk-Jermuk highway, have been suspended following an inspection by the Food Safety Inspection Body's Vayots Dzor regional center.

During the inspection, several breaches of sanitary and hygienic standards were identified. Specifically, the floors, windows, and surfaces of the ventilation system in the sales area and plant were not maintained in a clean and proper condition. The placement of sinks did not consider the flow of traffic, leading to the risk of cross-contamination between raw materials, finished products, personnel, and customers. Additionally, the windows lacked insect screens, and appropriate measures had not been taken to prevent animals and insects from entering areas for food preparation, processing, storage, and transportation. Furthermore, since August 2020, the regularity of mandatory medical examinations for personnel involved in the food chain has not been adhered to.

The plant's production activities have been halted, and a deadline has been set for addressing the identified violations.
