Who Will Be Appointed Head of Erebuni Administrative District? Agreement Reached

The newspaper "Iravunk" reports that, according to its sources, Vlad Kirakosyan will be appointed as the head of the Erebuni administrative district in Yerevan. During the extraordinary parliamentary elections, he served as the head of the Civil Contract party's headquarters in Erebuni.

According to the same sources, an agreement has been reached with Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, who will continue to serve until the end of his term on the condition that the heads of administrative districts will be changed to loyal members of the Civil Contract party.

It should be noted that the current head of the Erebuni administrative district, Arman Abrahamyan, had submitted his resignation without specifying the reasons. However, sources within the Civil Contract party claim that the resignation was due to the fact that he did not provide any benefits to the political team during the elections and faltered in his responsibilities.

Members of the Civil Contract party were particularly agitated by the fact that the rally of former President Robert Kocharyan in Erebuni was the most attended during the pre-election campaign. This became a critical factor for A. Abrahamyan.
