The Mummy of Soviet Militia Returns to the Police: Mikayel Nahapetyan

Member of the 'Citizen's Decision' parliamentary faction, Mikayel Nahapetyan, wrote on his Facebook page: 'The mummy of the Soviet militia is returning to the police. For several months now, I have been hearing recurring stories from various circles—from political to criminal, from workers to lawyers, from business people to teenagers—about cases of beatings and humiliation within the police force.'

'Such systemic manifestations could not return in such a widespread manner without direct orders or turning a blind eye. This is further evidence that when the rotten cavities of authoritarianism are emptied, and you do not fill them with substantive democracy, the pus of authoritarianism smoothly flows back into those cavities.'
