Sergey Chamanyan, Who Joined Mikhail Minasian's 'Anti-Nikol' Initiative, Apologizes to Arsen Torosyan

Sergey Chamanyan, a user on the social network Facebook who joined the 'Anti-Nikol' initiative created by Mikhail Minasian, the son-in-law of Serzh Sargsyan and former ambassador of Armenia to the Vatican, has publicly apologized to former Minister of Health and current MP Arsen Torosyan for defaming his honor and dignity.

According to civic.am, in November 2019, Sergey Chamanyan published a post on his personal Facebook page that tarnished Arsen Torosyan's reputation. In response, Arsen Torosyan's advocate, Davit Hunanian, who is a partner at the legal firm 'AM', filed a lawsuit demanding that Chamanyan publicly apologize to Torosyan.

The court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan granted the request made by Davit Hunanian, the lawyer from 'AM'.

According to the legal firm's statement, the court ordered Sergey Chamanyan to publicly apologize to the former Minister of Health through his personal Facebook page or via print media with a circulation of at least five thousand copies for his insulting remarks, and it also mandated compensation for the offense.
