Morning Collision Involving Volkswagen and ВАЗ 21012 Leaves 4 Injured Rescued from Vehicles

Today, on September 3, a serious car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 09:00, at the 13 km mark of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway, Volkswagen Golf and ВАЗ 21012 vehicles collided.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, as a result of the accident, 4 individuals were taken to the 'Gavarr' medical center with varying degrees of bodily injuries.

Civilians were the first to provide aid to the injured, while rescuers from the 31st rescue squad of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived on the scene promptly. The doctors from the Gavarr hospital acted swiftly, providing first aid to the injured on site before transferring them to the hospital.

Rescuers incapacitated the vehicles after bringing the injured closer to the ambulances, and secured gas cylinders to ensure safety in the area.
