Internal Deal Between NSS and Prosecutor's Office in David Galstyan's Criminal Case

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that "it seems that the National Security Service (NSS) and the Prosecutor's Office have entered into an internal deal to freeze the criminal case of David Galstyan, widely known as Patron Davo, as they have instructions from political authorities.

According to information obtained by the newspaper, the NSS has not taken any steps in the case, because, in addition to the supplier, represented by David Galstyan, current officials of the Ministry of Defense are also involved in the criminal case, starting from the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan, to former Minister of Defense, David Tonoyan.

There are rumors within the law enforcement system that a criminal case against David Galstyan has been under investigation in the NSS for three years, yet no investigative actions have been carried out, which points to political directives.

It is noteworthy that David Galstyan was arrested on February 1 and was detained on February 2. Galstyan himself made a statement asserting that the ammunition supplied to the Ministry of Defense was consistent with the types and dates specified in the contract, promising to present evidence in the future. However, after being released, it seems he has forgotten about the promised evidence and has effectively disappeared from public view," the newspaper writes.
