How Lavrov Assesses the Ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has called the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, mediated by Moscow, one of the successful moves of Russian diplomacy. During his speech at the 'New Knowledge' conference held in Moscow, Lavrov noted that the Russian President has made active efforts aimed at halting the war in the South Caucasus and reaching agreements on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
'These (agreements) are now being successfully implemented with the participation of both our ministry, the defense ministry, and our economic bloc, which is ensuring negotiations around the unblocking of all communications and all economic ties in that region,' Lavrov stated.
It is worth recalling that on November 9, 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev issued a joint statement regarding the cessation of military operations.
