Fire on the Azerbaijani Side: Details from the Ministry of Emergency Situations

Recently, information spread online indicating that Azerbaijanis had deliberately set fire to the grassland area adjacent to Lake Sevan. According to the report, the fire is moving toward Armenian positions.

In a conversation with Auroranews, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations denied these reports. They added that there is indeed a fire in that area, but it is on Azerbaijani territory.

Earlier, Auroranews had contacted the governor of Syunik, Melikset Poghosyan, to clarify the information. He stated that he is currently in Kapan and is not aware of such reports, nor has he been informed about them.

It is noteworthy that in recent days, Azerbaijani military personnel have been deliberately setting fire to the pastures near the villages of Sotk and Kut in Gegharkunik.
