We Have Come Here in Pursuit of Victory: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the captain of the Armenian national football team, has high expectations for the upcoming World Cup qualifying match against North Macedonia.

“My teammates have done a great job in the last three matches, and we have won all three games. We have come here in pursuit of victory. We understand the importance of this game and know we have great opportunities in this qualifying round,” said the Armenian midfielder during a pre-match press conference, as reported by Armenpress.

According to Mkhitaryan, the mindset of victory has been established within the team since the previous Nations League. “The guys have started to believe in themselves, and the level of play has increased. I hope that in other matches, several more players will take on this responsibility,” he stated.

The World Cup qualifying match between North Macedonia and Armenia will take place on September 2 and is scheduled to kick off at 22:45 Yerevan time.
