Ilham Aliyev: 'Aside from three or four Armenian officials' villas in Shushi, nothing has been built'

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that a five-star hotel will be constructed in Shushi at the same site where the construction of the Artsakh parliament building was left unfinished. 'The city of Shushi is still in a state of ruin. If Shushi was an Armenian city, then why is it in this condition? Why has nothing been built?' Aliyev declared during his speech in Shushi.

According to him, apart from three or four villas of Armenian officials, nothing has been constructed in the city. He also commented on the springs located in Shushi: 'If it was an Armenian city, why have you dried up all the springs?'
