Azerbaijani Shepherd Blows Up on Mine Near Armenia Border

An Azerbaijani resident has blown up on a mine near the state border with Armenia, according to Azerbaijani media reports. The incident occurred in the village of Alakhanjali in the Dashkesan region, adjacent to the Armenian border.

The man, identified as 1964-born Taghiev Shukyr Ashraf oglu, was grazing sheep in the area when his horse crossed the border. As he attempted to retrieve the horse, he stepped on a mine.

The man has been transported to a hospital in serious condition.

It is worth noting that on August 6, an employee of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) was also blown up by a mine in the Akna region of Nagorno-Karabakh. He was hospitalized with various degrees of injuries.
