Russia Disagrees with Turkey's Position on Crimea, Peskov
Russia believes that Turkey's position on Crimea is completely mistaken, and Moscow is prepared to further explain the situation to its partners. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, according to TASS news agency.
“We do not accept our Turkish partners' stance, and we think that it is entirely wrong. We are ready and fully willing to patiently explain to our Turkish partners, as well as to other countries, the real state of affairs regarding that Russian region,” Peskov said, commenting on the remarks made by the Turkish delegation during discussions on the 'Crimea Platform.' He emphasized that Russian-Turkish relations, overall, are of a partnership nature.
It is noteworthy that the day before, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated in anticipation of the discussions in Kyiv that Turkey “will never accept the annexation of Crimea.”
