Gegham Nazaryan Develops Visual Problems After Incident in Parliament
“The examinations finished an hour ago. I am at home now; fortunately, there are no severe consequences for the brain and eye vessels, but I do have some issues with my eye. The doctors said that in two days, once the force of the blow passes, those problems will also disappear,” Gegham Nazaryan, a member of the Armenia parliamentary faction 'Hayastan', told NEWS.am in an interview. He was injured during a brawl in parliament today and had to be taken to the hospital.
The MP reported that one of the government-affiliated deputies deliberately and purposefully struck him. “I was deliberately punched. A few people were piled up on each other, making great efforts to separate one another. After separating one person, when I moved towards others, someone intentionally hit me. Honestly, I remember the face of the person who hit me well, but I don’t know their name. Moreover, they looked directly at me and struck. I didn't expect that they would do something like this. Had I known, I would have at least defended myself, but, apparently, such things happen,” noted the MP.
Gegham Nazaryan stated that he will not be able to participate in the upcoming parliamentary sessions for the next two days, as doctors have advised him to stay home for at least two days to recover in order to resolve the visual problems.
