Putin Declares That Russia Will Not Get Involved in Afghanistan's Conflict
We are closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan, but we will not interfere and, even more so, will not become involved in the "everyone against everyone" armed conflict. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the "United Russia" party, as reported by Armenpress, citing RIA Novosti.
“You know what a difficult and concerning situation has developed in Afghanistan today. We are closely following that situation and actively cooperating with our allies in the CSTO. Of course, we do not intend to interfere in Afghanistan's internal affairs, much less to involve our armed forces in the ‘everyone against everyone’ conflict. In my opinion, this is also occurring there, which has already been dragging on for decades,” noted Putin.
